Open an .fbx file directly in your browser. Rotate, zoom, test lighting, and inspect geometry, materials and wireframe before using the model in Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Unity, Unreal Engine or another 3D workflow.
Please do not leave this page. Your download will start automatically when the file is ready.
ExportFBX is a common exchange format for game, animation and 3D production assets, but exports can behave differently across applications. This online FBX viewer gives you a quick checkpoint for geometry, orientation, materials and topology before the model enters another tool or reaches a client.
Preview a character, prop, vehicle or environment without waiting for a full 3D suite to launch. It is useful for downloaded assets, client files and quick production reviews.
Rotate, zoom and reset the camera, then use clay and wireframe views to catch silhouette, topology, thin-surface and orientation problems that a thumbnail can hide.
Switch between six lighting presets and material views to evaluate surface readability and presentation, and to notice when an FBX references texture files that are not embedded.
After reviewing the model, continue to the appropriate next step: download, convert, repair, optimize, render or create a new 3D asset in Create3D.io.
FBX can carry meshes, materials, skeletons, cameras and animation data, which is why the format is widely used for asset exchange. The browser viewer focuses on fast visual inspection of the model before it moves into a game engine, animation tool, render pipeline or client review.
No special software is required for a quick model review. Use the viewer to open the file, inspect the asset, and decide what should happen next.
Drag and drop an .fbx file into the upload area or choose one from your device. The viewer supports files up to 50MB.
Rotate, zoom and reset the view. Compare lighting presets, then use clay and wireframe modes to inspect geometry and surfaces.
Keep reviewing, download the original when available, or continue to conversion, repair, rendering and other 3D tools.
Before importing or delivering an FBX file, use this quick visual checklist to identify common export and model problems.
Confirm the model faces the right direction, sits upright, and shows no missing parts, holes or broken surfaces from any angle.
FBX units and pivots differ across tools. Confirm that the asset appears at a believable scale and is centered before it enters a scene or engine.
See whether colors and maps load. If the asset reads clearly in clay mode, the shape is strong even when textures are packed separately.
Use wireframe mode to spot dense triangulation, thin surfaces or unexpectedly heavy geometry that may slow real-time use or complicate conversion.
Use this page for FBX files. For another format, open the dedicated GLB or OBJ viewer, or use the Free 3D Viewer when you work with several file types.
Open .fbx characters, props, vehicles and scene models for a fast visual check before import or delivery.
Open an FBX filePreview web-ready GLB models with geometry, PBR materials and textures stored in a single file.
Open the GLB viewerInspect universal OBJ mesh geometry exported from Blender, Maya, 3ds Max and other 3D tools.
Open the OBJ viewerOpen GLB, glTF, OBJ, FBX, STL, PLY, USDZ and 3MF files in one browser-based viewer.
Open the 3D viewerUse the Create3D.io FBX viewer when you need to open a file quickly, check the visible model, compare lighting, inspect wireframe or clay mode, and verify an asset before import, review or conversion.
Use Blender, Maya, 3ds Max or another full editor when you need to change geometry, inspect or edit skeleton data, animate, manage scenes or author materials. The online viewer is the quick checkpoint before that deeper work begins.
Once the model has passed your visual check, choose the workflow that matches the destination: create a replacement asset, convert the file, repair or optimize the mesh, or produce presentation renders.
A browser-based FBX viewer is useful whenever someone needs to verify a 3D asset quickly without opening a full production application.
Check FBX characters, props and environments before Unity, Unreal and Godot.
Review character and scene geometry before layout, rigging or animation work begins.
Review client-delivered and outsourced FBX files before opening a full app.
Verify product FBX models before converting to GLB or USDZ for AR commerce.
Open and explain FBX models in class without installing software.
Run quick FBX quality checks and client previews from a standard web browser.
Practical answers about browser compatibility, textures, supported FBX versions, privacy and other viewer options.
An FBX viewer opens .fbx 3D files so you can inspect the model without launching a full 3D editor. Create3D.io lets you rotate, zoom, change lighting and use clay or wireframe views in a browser.
Drag and drop an .fbx file into the Create3D.io FBX Viewer or click the upload area to choose a file. The model preview loads directly in your browser.
Yes. Opening and visually inspecting an FBX file is free. Some conversion, download or advanced workflow actions may require a free account or plan.
No. The viewer runs in a modern WebGL-capable browser, so you can inspect an FBX model without opening a full 3D application or game engine.
Many FBX files reference texture images stored separately. If those image files are not embedded in the FBX, the geometry can load while some materials appear plain. Clay and wireframe views still help you inspect the mesh.
Modern FBX 7.x files provide the best browser compatibility. Older FBX 6.x files may need to be re-exported as FBX 2011 or newer, or converted to GLB or OBJ first.
Yes. The page is responsive and works in modern WebGL-capable browsers on desktop, iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Very large models may perform better on a desktop computer.
Yes. Create3D.io also provides a GLB Viewer, an OBJ Viewer, and a Free 3D Viewer for multiple common 3D formats.
The interactive preview is created in your browser from the file you select. Advanced conversion or creator tools may require sign-in and separate processing.
Use the FBX viewer for a fast visual check, then continue to the right conversion, repair, rendering or 3D creation workflow.
